I make my money, for the most part, evaluating the NCAA tournament bubble. Who's in? Who's out? Who still has a chance?
Yet something remarkable is happening in the 2013-14 season that, for whatever reason, has fallen between the cracks. We keep hearing there are no elite teams this season, that the quality of play is off, that there are too many fouls and not enough scoring.
But has anyone noticed that the top six teams in the country -- and, by extension, the top No. 1 seed contenders -- are a combined 99-3?
