- Louisville lands SF Angel Nunez
- Louisville head coach Rick Pitino landed a verbal commitment from small forward Angel Nunez on Thursday night, ESPN.com's Adam Finkelstein has confirmed.
Nunez, ranked No. 26 at his position in 2011, chose the Cardinals over Miami, West Virginia, Rutgers, Florida, Connecticut and Arizona, among others.
Nunez joins a class currently ranked No. 7 overall and features Chane Behanan, Wayne Blackshear, Zach Price and Ryan Taylor.

- ESPNU Super 60 small forward Angel Nunez spoke with ESPN.com's West Virginia affiliate www.EerSports.com this week about his offers and his interest in the Mountaineers.
"I think I talked to (WVU assistant) Larry Harrison the most," said Nunez. "(Asst.) Billy Hahn -- that's my guy. (Head coach) Bob Huggins was here. The other three times, Billy Hahn came here. I got a chance to speak to all of them. They're all cool. I like them."
As for the other schools who have offered scholarships, Nunez mentioned Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona, Indiana, Arkansas, St. John's, Rutgers, Providence to go along with West Virginia.
"There's no specific order yet. There's no real order. I haven't broke it down," Nunez said.
Nunez was in Syracuse last Saturday (Feb. 27) for their game against Villanova and has also unofficially visited Virginia Tech, St. John's and Rutgers.
Winchendon will take on Northfield-Mt. Hermon on Friday night (March 5) in a NEPSAC Class A semifinal.
