TCU to the Big East
Let's not be silly. We all know TCU to the Big East is a straight football move. Basketball-wise it's such an odd allegiance that its impact on Jim Christian's team shouldn't be dramatic. South Florida, also a Big East football move in and a better geographical fit, hasn't found that pot of gold basketball recruiting-wise at the end of the Big East allegiance rainbow. Christian, a Rhode Island native, was an assistant at Pitt so the move may open some doors in his natural recruiting territory of the East. However, TCU sits squarely in Big 12 country and while the letterhead will say Big East, the reality is the school is a long way from fertile recruiting grounds of the eastern seaboard. As it stands, TCU has five international players and five Texans on its current roster and the player furthest east of campus hails from Indiana.To continue reading this article you must be an Insider
