Tuesday review and a look ahead to Wednesday

A few thoughts on Tuesday night's game before I get into a few of Wednesday's biggest matchups • Georgia Tech's frontcourt really impressed me in the team's win over Clemson. The Yellow Jackets have arguably the best frontcourt in the ACC and are the most athletic team in the conference. But they have to continue to mature offensively and defensively. Georgia Tech let another big lead slip away in the second half, which has become a theme lately. Clemson, thanks to its press, was able to force 16 turnovers and get itself back in the game. The key to the Jackets' going far in March will be the ability of the guards to take care of the basketball. • Tennessee continues to surprise each time I see that team play. At Alabama, Scotty Hopson held down the fort offensively in the first half while Wayne Chism was in foul trouble. Chism then exploded in the second half, scoring all 11 of his points in the final seven minutes of the games as the Volunteers passed their first SEC road test. Tennessee is now 5-0 since four of its players were arrested Jan. 1.
