Great point guard play is essential for a team to have a championship season.

Over the past four months, I have seen most of the nation's elite point guards on more than one occasion. But there is one player who I have enjoyed watching as much as anyone. Butler senior point guard Mike Green is the real deal. He is a leader who has done nothing but win games since transferring from Towson, where he was a two-year starter and the team's second-leading scorer.

After Green's sophomore year at Towson, a coaching change opened the door for the Bulldogs to snatch the only player in the Horizon League to rank in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and assists.
