Future Crimson Tide wing is rolling

It looks like the only thing that is able to contain Alabama-bound wing Rodney Cooper (Seale, AL / Russell County) is a virus as the 6'5 shooting guard has been on a torrid scoring binge since ringing in the New Year. Because of his length and athleticism he is considered a potential impact player defensively within the Crimson Tide's pressure scheme, but Cooper averages 32 points per game and has many in the state buzzing about his offensive prowess as well. Russell County coach Sam Moates can't say enough about his senior leader who also pulls down a team-high 10 rebounds per game. "I tell the Alabama coaches all the time that they don't realize what kind of a player they are getting," said Moates. "Unless you are around him everyday to see his character, work ethic and dedication you don't get the full picture of what this young man brings to the table."
