Team Philly duo make most of July

Reputations are won and lost in the month of July and two guys from Team Philly are walking away as big winners. Team Philly began the month without a sure thing high-major prospect on their roster, but leave the month two players now holding high-major scholarship offers. The first, Brandon Taylor (Tabernacle, Pa./Tranton Catholic), was easier to predict. A skilled forward with a smooth jumper out to the 3-point line and a big frame that could eventually be sculpted into a productive body at the high-major level, there was plenty to be intrigued about. But Taylor added new dimensions to his game for the summer live period and spent the month playing primarily inside-out to the surprise of those who knew him best. He demonstrated an improved motor and increased willingness to get his hands dirty banging in the paint. He also finally started to realize his mismatch potential as he began to consistently score on the block for the first time in his career.
