News and notes from Northeast recruiting run

I've been patrolling the Northeast this week, starting in Boston before heading to Springfield, Mass., Philadelphia, back to Hartford, Conn., and finishing up today in New Jersey. Here are some news, notes, and recruiting lists I've picked up along the way: Kris Dunn's (New London, Conn./New London/Connecticut Basketball Club) recruitment is rising in correlation with the level of his play. Villanova became the latest Big East school to jump on board but no one has recruited him harder than Providence, who has had a coach on hand every time he has taken the court this week. Abdul Malik-Abu (Marblehead, Mass./Kimball Union/Expressions Elite) landed his first high-major offer at the beginning of the period. Iowa State offered as Fred Hoiberg attempts to continue to grow his presence in the Northeast.
