When Jaylen Bond made the decision this winter to seek a post-graduate year rumors swirled about why he was reneging from his commitment to Pittsburgh.
Having signed a National Letter of Intent with the Panthers in November, only a couple of months had passed when Bond had his change of heart.
But in reality it wasn't so much a change in his thinking as it was a realization of the opportunity in front of him. Bond was interested in two things, continuing to develop his skills on the perimeter and a chance for immediate playing time.
