Keegan Hyland transfers to Vermont

A week after receiving his release from Gonzaga, redshirt freshman Keegan Hyland announced he will transfer to Vermont and enroll at the America East school for the second semester. Hyland has battled injuries for the last 18 months, missing all but three games of his senior season, at South Portland High School in Maine after suffering a stress fracture of his left pelvic bone and then not seeing any time during his first semester at Gonzaga after sustaining a concussion. "I just felt like it wasn't the right spot for me," said Hyland. "I got hurt and wasn't getting the time and just wanted to be closer to home, play right away, and play more my style instead of being just a shooter."
