St. John's, Indiana win Day 2

If Jim Calhoun and Connecticut emerged as a potential unlikely winner on the first day of the early signing period, then St. John's coach Steve Lavin and Indiana coach Tom Crean shared that distinction on Day 2. A day after collecting the final of his fifth expected signatures, Lavin began the early signing period by introducing one of the best recruiting classes in St. John's history. "This class, which will become one of the largest signed in collegiate basketball, comprises the foundation of the St. John's program moving forward," said Lavin. "The arrival of the 2011-12 class, along with an elite returning talent in Dwayne Polee, is the core group that will carry the Johnnies into the future."
