This season, Insider will feature the writing of six current NCAA basketball players, contributing their thoughts on issues facing their conferences. Baylor's Quincy Acy is replacing Jacob Pullen as the Big 12 voice, and he discusses some of the players in his league who have shown noticeable improvement this season.

There are some guys who are stepping up this season that I got to play against at adidas Nations camp in Chicago this summer. One guy from there, Khris Middleton at Texas A&M, he had some success last year for them. He's developed a lot between his freshman year and now. He's surprised a lot of people with him being a constant matchup problem, especially his outside ability. He's come on strong in a lot of phases of his game. He's causing a lot of problems. His outside shot has improved a lot and he feels more comfortable taking it. He's putting up a lot more points on the offensive end because of it.
