Despite the full-throated doomsday declarations that conference expansion -- motivated by a greed so transparent as to make Gordon Gekko blush -- will forever ruin what is beautiful and charming about college sports, "super conferences" are coming to a theater near you. It is inevitable. And, yes, it's all about the never-ending pursuit of money.
Whenever mega-conferences ultimately arrive, everything is going to be OK. Really. In fact, I believe everything can and will be even better. It will just be different.
