I was really surprised when I heard people pick Michigan State to beat North Carolina in the title game. North Carolina is the best team. And the Tar Heels have been the best team since the first day of practice. That makes it even more impressive that the Heels have made it to the championship game.

Roy Williams has done another magnificent job with this team, and he doesn't get near the credit he deserves. The Tar Heels had injuries to key players this season that took away their depth and prevented them from gaining any continuity, yet they still managed the weight of the expectations placed upon them. Williams is one of the very best in the game and he is on top of his game. Could Michigan State have pulled a Villanova-style upset? Yeah, maybe. But it would have taken an unbelievable effort from the Spartans.
