The first annual Pangos All-American Live turned out to be a hit as Dinos Trigonis gathered an impressive group of prospects, led by ESPNU Super 60 center Isaiah Austin (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep). Ben Howland and Rick Barnes were a couple of high-major coaches that took in the action.

Standout players

Isaiah Austin
2012, C, 6-foot-11, 200 pounds
He has extraordinary length and remarkable perimeter skills, but his approach (too perimeter oriented) needs refining. One renowned scout compared him to former high school prodigy Jonathan Bender and I tend to agree. Austin can handle it well in the open court and he can toss in the 3-point shot as well, but in the paint area his fundamentals and footwork need work. With his wingspan and touch he could be a deadly scorer, but his footwork (lacks feel) and fundamentals (needs to bend knees and play big) need polish.
