It has been a tough spring for the basketball program at Providence College, to say the least. However, things are starting to turn around. Last week, the Friars officially hired Chris Driscoll to replace lead recruiter Pat Skerry, who resigned to take a similar position on the staff at Pittsburgh. Driscoll was the general manager and assistant coach of the BABC AAU program and has local recruiting ties. "Providence is getting a law and order guy who brings discipline as well as someone who has developed terrific basketball acumen to our system," said Leo Papile, head coach and founder of the BABC. "Specifically, defensively I think he can be an asset to anyone."
