Kabongo transferring to Findlay Prep

Point guard Myck Kabongo hinted that a change could be coming a few weeks ago, so it's no surprise that he announced Friday morning he plans to transfer from St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.) to Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.).

The last straw for the 6-foot-2 guard from Toronto, Ont., appeared to be when Dan Hurley left St. Benedict's to become the head coach at Wagner College.

"The people who were coaching me when I first came here are no longer around; I don't feel comfortable here," said Kabongo before heading to Virginia to play with Grass Roots Canada on the club circuit. "I'm going to miss all my friends but I'm ready for a new challenge."
