Brookins commits to Siena

Rakeem Brookins (Philadelphia/Roman Catholic) declared for Siena after decommitting from Tulane in Novemeber after a coaching change.

The first team, all-state guard visited Siena and Northeastern last week, but pledged to the Saints on Thursday thanks to their recent success and proximity to his home.

"He didn't want to take a lot of time and he kept his list short," Roman Catholic coach Chris McNesby said. "I told him to wait until a new staff was hired at Tulane. He did, and when none of the coaches were retained from the previous staff, Rakeem decided to reopen his recruiting."
