Kansas gets an early jump on 2012 class

Zach Peters of Prestonwood Christian Academy (Plano, Texas) did not mince his words Wednesday when announcing he will attend Kansas.

"I'm very excited to be a [Kansas] Jayhawk and grateful for the opportunity to earn a degree from a fine school like Kansas," said the 6-foot-9 sophomore post. "I'll do my best to repay Coach Self and Kansas on the court and in the classroom. I'm confident in my decision. There are a lot of great basketball programs but I feel Kansas is the best fit for me."

Those words alone will endear him to the Jayhawk Nation.
