Meyers Leonard, a 7-foot center from Robinson (Ill.) High, was named Tuesday morning to the 2010 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team, which will take on the World Select Team in the 13th Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday in Portland, Ore.

The Illinois-bound Leonard (No. 55 in ESPNU 100) replaces Tobias Harris of Half Hollow Hills West (Dix Hills, N.Y.), who broke his right foot in the McDonald's All-America Game last week.

Along with USA Nike Hoop Summit Team members Harris, Terrence Jones of Jefferson (Portland, Ore.) and Patric Young of Providence (Jacksonville, Fla.), Leonard also accepted an invitation to participate in the 2010 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team training camp June 14-16 at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

"I knew that I was coming out for the (USA Basketball U18) training camp but I was just overwhelmed that I was one of only 10 guys that get a chance to play in the Nike Hoop Summit," Leonard said. "It is an honor, and I feel blessed that I can be a part of it."
