Plenty of star-power at Prime Time Shootout

Oak Hill Academy against St. Patrick might be the features attraction of the three-day Prime Time Shootout, which tips off Friday at Kean University's Harwood Arena in Union, N.J., before shifting to Trenton's Sun National bank Arena, but it's hardly the only big game for the tournament that benefits the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County. "It's become one of the top events each year," said Jeff Hewiston, the event's founder and organizer. "I get calls from all over the country. We're fortunate this event happens just before the postseason for many states. It gives teams of taste of big crowds, big arenas and big-time games." There are three other games involving New Jersey schools Friday at Kean: Ridge (Basking Ridge)-Monroe, 5:30 p.m.; Lakewood-St. Benedict's (Newark, N.J.), 7; and Plainfield-St. Joseph (Metuchen), following the Oak Hill-St. Patrick game.
