After committing to UCLA as a rising sophomore, 6-foot-3 senior Kendall Williams (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Los Osos) saw his college plans take an unexpected turn once UCLA decided to head in a different direction for various reasons. However, Williams future appears to be quite bright because a couple of high-level schools are hot on his trail. During the early signing period, he had a couple of home visits with an up-and-coming Long Beach State program, but Williams -- who is an outstanding student -- decided to take his time and let his play do the talking. Apparently his plan has worked because Mountain West power New Mexico as well as ACC standout Clemson have offered. Williams visited New Mexico and he was very impressed with the direction of Steve Alford's blossoming program.
