Gilchrist leads St. Pat's past White Station

NEWARK, N.J. -- This time St. Patrick High of Elizabeth, N.J. survived. It took luck and late heroics.

Trailing by five in the fourth quarter the Celtics rallied and received a favorable call as time expired in defeating White Station (Memphis), 68-66, Saturday in the Newark National Invitational at the Prudential Center before 4,000.

The second-annual event featured six games, involving New Jersey teams against the nation, benefitting the Brian C. Doherty scholarship fund.
