Tyreek Duren, a 6-1 guard, from Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia), decided Monday afternoon he'll be staying home for college. Duren, the No. 25-rated point guard in the ESPNU 100, chose La Salle over fellow Atlantic 10 brethren Temple and Massachusetts for his services.

"La Salle will graduate guards this year, especially Rodney Green, so this gives me a chance to play," Duren said. "It's a good situation for me. I wanted to get it off my chest before the season."

Duren, a third team All-City player as a junior, becomes the third member of Neumann's senior class to choose a college. Previously 6-6 forward Daniel Stewart opted for Rider while 6-2 guard Tony Chennault picked Wake Forest.
