Lemmons' hard work pays off

Malcolm Lemmons spent the time in the gym this summer and now he's reaping the benefits. Lemmons, a 6-feet-4, 190-pound wing from Gonzaga High in Washington, D.C., told ESPN.com Thursday night he's accepted an offer from Robert Morris University.

"I want to add to the success of the program and (Coach) Mike Rice's credentials speak for themselves," said Lemmons, an honors student with a 3.0 grade-point average at the Jesuit secondary school. "I like the way they (RMU) go after it offensively, rebound aggressively and play hard defense."

Lemmons, earned the appellation "defensive stopper." from Gonzaga Coach Steve Turner after "wanting to guard the top opposing scorer and players five inches taller."
