Fortson hopes to play right away at Arkansas

One of the nation's best point guard prospects, Montgomery, Ala., resident and ESPN 150 prospect, 6-0, 180-pound Courtney Fortson (now at Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C.), committed this past weekend to the Arkansas Razorbacks. On Monday afternoon, I interviewed Fortson at Patterson School's practice at the Mulberry Street Recreation Center here in Lenoir.

When asked why he chose Arkansas, Fortson said, "I had a great visit from September 29-30 and was very impressed with the incredibly loud fan support at their football game versus North Texas. They have great basketball facilities, and coach (John) Pelphrey and his staff worked me the hardest. I just felt that Arkansas was the perfect school for me."
