UCLA celebrates a new Holiday

It's been a roller coaster of emotions for both Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar and UCLA head coach Ben Howland during the last month while 2008 No. 1 rated two-guard Jrue Holiday (North Hollywood, Calif./Campbell Hall) decided his college destination. Though the emotion of playing alongside brother Justin Holiday for the Huskies was quite appealing, the legacy of the Bruins program combined with the coaching prowess of Howland would be too strong for Holiday to turn down.

Holiday will be added to arguably the most impressive collection of verbal commits in the country thus far in 6-2 Jerime Anderson (Anaheim Hills, Calif./Canyon), 6-4 Malcolm Lee (Riverside, Calif./J.W. North) and 6-8 Drew Gordon (San Jose, Calif./Mitty).
