Ohio native Johnson picks Dayton

Chris Johnson (Columbus, Ohio/Brookhaven) verbally committed to Dayton on Sunday. The 6-5 wing player's strength lies in scoring and rebounding. This left-handed athletic perimeter player can shoot the ball from beyond the 3-point line with accuracy. That will be vital for the Flyers as the NCAA expands the 3-point line starting in the 2008-2009 season. Johnson choose Dayton over Akron, Butler, West Virgina and Xavier.

"I choose Dayton because of the beautiful campus, the coaching staff and style of play," Johnson said.
