One down, one to go. Jai Lucas (Bellaire, Texas), who along with fellow top-20 prospect Patrick Patterson (Huntington, W. Va.) stretched his recruitment nearly to the end of the regular signing period, today announced for Florida over Kentucky and Oklahoma State. Patterson will decide Wednesday afternoon whether he will follow Lucas to Gainesville or instead pick Duke or Kentucky on the final day to sign.
Lucas' father John Lucas wanted him to have the chance to play right away, and with Taurean Green departed for the NBA and signee Nick Calathes slotted for shooting guard, he has that chance at Florida.
