Things haven't gone as planned for every team that came into the 2011-12 season with big expectations. Here's a look at four of the teams, some of which have better chances of turning things around than others:
Vanderbilt Commodores
Preseason expectations: The Commodores were considered a top-10 team that several SEC coaches believed would win the conference.
Nonconference issues: The team suffered home losses to Cleveland State and Xavier, plus, an injury and suspension kept starting center Festus Ezeli out all of November.
