Harvard's big weekend a success
September, 27, 2011
Last weekend had the potential to be one of the most important recruiting weekends in Harvard basketball history. Tommy Amaker and his staff were swinging for the fences, bringing eight high-level prospects onto their campus at the same time and making a collective pitch as to how a college career at Harvard could change their lives forever, both on and off the court. Getting eight prospects on campus, all of whom held varying levels of high-major recruitment, was a victory in itself, but making a recruiting list is no longer the headline that Harvard is looking for. The Crimson showed they could do that in Amaker's first year on the job. Now it's about landing commitments from high-major prospects plain and simple.
