Overview: Kansas and Duke are on similar paths this season. Both were No. 1 seeds in the 2011 NCAA tournament, and both lost three players to the NBA draft (Marcus and Markieff Morris and Josh Selby for Kansas, and Kyrie Irving, Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith for Duke). Both have players who, while talented, are in entirely different roles this season compared to last season, and both teams are finding ways they can and will win.
And both have played difficult schedules and are in the position to win the first meaningful championship of the season.
