Tonight, the Detroit Pistons attempt to extend their Minnesota Summer League winning streak to four when they take on the Toronto Raptors, the team they eliminated from the playoffs in 2002.

The difference, though, is that they are now the NBA champion Detroit Pistons and everyone is looking forward to a low-scoring affair.

Two years ago, the Pistons narrowly defeated the Raptors, three games to two, in a first-round series in which they averaged only 86.6 points per game while fans across the country grumbled about the poor television.

Of course, in the latest postseason, the Pistons defeated to Los Angeles Lakers, four games to one, in an NBA Finals series in which they averaged only 90.8 points per game, including one overtime, while those very same fans cheered and hollered for the underdogs.

So it shouldn't surprise anyone that while there isn't one player on this summer league roster who is a guarantee to make the regular-season team, they are still the same old Pistons that we have grown to know and love.
