Calgary forward Chris Simon's grit and determination has been admirable in the playoffs, but his propensity to take untimely penalties is hurting the Flames. Against the speedy Sharks, the Flames would probably be better served to sit the slow Simon.
San Jose Sharks: Mike Rathje came out on the short end of a fight with Simon at the end of Game 3, but the big Sharks defenseman had a more effective counterpunch in Game 4 with the opening goal and an assist in San Jose's victory that evened the Western Conference finals. "Mike Rathje might have played his best game of the year," Sharks head coach Ron Wilson told the San Jose Mercury News.
