Calgary Flames: Ending their seven-year playoff drought this year meant many Flames were entering uncharted territory with the younger players enjoying their first NHL postseason. With the help of a few key veterans, such as 39-year-old Dave Lowry, the youngsters have matched the experienced players' intensity. "We've got a lot of guys who want to win, and we've got a lot of guys who think we can play with anybody," Lowry told the San Francisco Chronicle.
Jarome Iginla has been one of the best players in the Stanley Cup playoffs, but the poor guy just doesn't cut it as far as playoff beards go. "You say to him, 'What are you, a 10-year-old? You can't get that beard going?' " Flames center Craig Conroy told the Calgary Sun about the Flames captain's patchy growth.
