San Jose Sharks: San Jose obviously missed big defenseman Kyle McLaren Tuesday night in their 4-1 loss to Calgary in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals. But head coach Ron Wilson wasn't pinning the blame on rookie blue-liners Rob Davison and Tom Preissing for falling into an 0-2 hole in the series.
Calgary Flames: Miikka Kiprusoff gets much of the credit, and deservedly so, for helping Calgary get as far as it has in the playoffs. But the Flames defense often comes to his rescue, as Andrew Ference did Tuesday night by blocking the puck from going into a wide-open net and preventing the Sharks from tying the game in the third period.
