Calgary Flames: Calgary penalty killing expert Stephane Yelle turned 30 Sunday and got a face full of shaving cream from his teammates after leading the Flames to victory with some well-timed blocked shots in Game 1 against the Sharks. "Yeller would block a shot off his face if it meant he'd stop a goal," Flames forward Chris Simon told the Calgary Sun about Yelle. "He'll do anything."
Tampa Bay Lightning: Tampa Bay won Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals despite not playing at its best. Philadelphia believes this is a good sign, "if we continue to do that, hopefully we can force it again," as Flyers head coach Ken Hitchcock told the Tampa Tribune. But by the same token, the Flyers haven't seen the Lightning at their best yet.
