Constantine worthy of consideration
Kevin Constantine deserves serious consideration for any NHL coaching openings.
The former Devils, Penguins and Sharks head coach has led the expansion Everett Silvertips to a U.S. Division title and series victories in the first two playoff rounds. After setting numerous WHL records for a first-year team, Constantine's crew is making a run at another major accomplishment as it takes on the defending league champion Kelowna Rockets for the Western Conference championship. Everett trails three games to two, but is coming off a huge 1-0 overtime road victory Saturday night and plays host to Game 6 Monday night.
No matter what fate awaits the Silvertips, Constantine deserves serious consideration for any NHL coaching openings because of the job he has done taking a bunch of castoffs and turning them into a final-four team in one of the Canadian Hockey League's three major junior leagues.
