Detroit Tigers: The good news is that Tigers pitchers are striking out more men this year than last. They have improved their strikeouts per nine innings record from 4.78 to 6.75 which has also bettered their strikeouts to walk ratio in the process. The bad news lurking under their 8-6 record is that the team's ERA is actually worse than last year's, going from 5.30 to 5.52 with a similar rise in WHIP, 1.51 to 1.62.
