Boston Bruins: Boston captain Joe Thornton said he was shot with painkillers each game so he could play with torn rib cartilage against Montreal in the first round. The Bruins center had no points, but oddly enough the team began to feel worse when Thornton began to play better en route to a disappointing seven-game series loss to the Canadiens.

Toronto Maple Leafs: With center Mats Sundin doubtful and center Joe Nieuwendyk nursing a sore back, the Maple Leafs don't need any more bad injury news heading into Tuesday night's Game 7 against Ottawa. But Toronto sniper Alexander Mogilny's low output so far makes many wonder whether his problem hip is keeping him from being completely effective.

Ottawa Senators: You can't miss Zdeno Chara on the ice. The 6-9 defenseman not only towers over most of his teammates and opponents, Chara has emerged as a powerful force and one of the best blue-liners in the game. The Senators need a repeat of his Game 6 performance if they are to get past the Maple Leafs in the playoffs for the first time in four tries.
