Their captain is contributing offensively and helping shut down some top players on the opposing team.

That might sound like Red Wings center Steve Yzerman, but Nashville Predators center Greg Johnson fits that description best so far in the Western Conference quarterfinal series that's tied 2-2 heading into Thursday night's pivotal Game 5 at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.

"Johnny's been really good, and I think one of the ways he's helped us most is the calming effect he has on this team," Predators head coach Barry Trotz told The Nashville Tennessean. "He's a veteran player and he's been there before. It's great to have a captain and leader take charge, like Steve Yzerman does for Detroit."
