Gold heads list of remaining free agents

With free agency over a month old, all the big names have been snatched up by teams desperate to fill holes on their rosters. And although it
appears that the NFL vultures have picked all of the meat off the
bones, a closer inspection shows that there are still a few quality players
available.

Gold
LB Ian Gold -- The former Michian Wolverine was really coming into his own in 2003. Though undersized, the 6-0, 233-pounder is one of the fastest linebackers in the league. The question is if that speed has been affected by the ACL injury he suffered last year that forced him to miss 10 games? Not if you look at his actions at the end of February.
Of course, the fact that these players have yet to sign with anyone is a signal that they have deficiencies, but they could still be quality additions to teams looking for veteran depth or willing to take a chance on someone coming back from an injury.
