Philadelphia Flyers: As if Thursday night's 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders wasn't enough, Philadelphia Flyers head coach Ken Hitchcock might have the FCC on his case. Hitchcock uttered a variance of one of the "seven words" you can't say on television during his live postgame remarks while describing his team's cautious, soft game on the perimeter Thursday night.

Vancouver Canucks: The absence of linemate Todd Bertuzzi isn't the only reason Vancouver left winger Markus Naslund hasn't scored a goal in nine games. The Canucks captain hyper-extended his left elbow Feb. 16 and is in the worst scoring slump in four years.

Calgary Flames: Like the league honchos in Toronto and New York, you might not have noticed a recent mugging similar to Bertuzzi's sucker-punch of Steve Moore. Phoenix defenseman Brad Ference smacked Calgary's Martin Sonnenberg from behind Wednesday but only received a double-minor. Just because Sonnenberg was fortunate to skate away instead of being carted off on a stretcher with a broken neck doesn't mean Ference should be punished far less than Bertuzzi.
