Nashville is holding down a playoff spot despite a lack of production from two of their top centermen.
It's a credit to the Nashville Predators that they are still holding down a playoff spot despite a lack of production from two of their top centermen from the start of the season.
With 82 points and tied with Edmonton for seventh in the Western Conference, the Predators (34-27-11-3) can't afford to be patient and hope David Legwand and Denis Arkhipov work their way out of recent slumps.
"David Legwand and Denis Arkhipov are our two offensive-minded centermen," Predators general manager David Poile told The Nashville Tennessean. "Compare them to the top two offensive centermen with other teams in terms of points, we're ranking near the bottom of the league in that."
