Arizona Cardinals: RB Marcell Shipp received good news and bad news last week. He was told by coach Dennis Green that he will be the team's feature back in 2004, but he also found out that he's under investigation for an alleged domestic dispute that happened last Thursday at a North Phoenix location. Shipp's attorney, Darrow Soll, said his client is "fully cooperating with police". Darrow Soll wouldn't comment on the specifics of the case but did tell the Arizona Republic "in our own personal opinion, this does not constitute domestic violence." Shipp, 25, has not been arrested.

Dallas Cowboys: The team is still searching for a right tackle and is now hosting OT Greg Randall. Randall started 16 games at right tackle for Houston last season and started every game in New England's 2001 run to Super Bowl XXXVI. A fourth-round pick out of Michigan State, Randall has battled weight problems, but he has never missed a game because of injury. The Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys will also work out OL DeMingo Graham.

San Francisco 49ers: The club is supposed to get DT Brandon Whiting as compensation for trading WR Terrell Owens to the Eagles, but that's pending him passing a physical. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer the Eagles will be forced to give up a third-round draft pick if Whiting isn't healthy enough to pass his examination. Whiting, 27, is scheduled to take the physical this week in San Francisco. There has been some speculation that he may need shoulder surgery, but a 49ers official said last week that he was confident the veteran defensive lineman would pass the physical.
