According to Mandich, Wannstedt essentially asked, "Why is there such a negative perception of the state of the Dolphins? We've done a lot of winning around here. Why is it so negative?" FB Rob Konrad doesn't seem to mind the criticism too much. "It tells me people care," Konrad told the Miami Herald. "If people were calling talk shows saying, 'Who cares? Let's talk about UM and the Marlins,' I'd have something to worry about."
