Phillips disappoints, Santana emerges

It's called accountability. We in this business don't
really have a lot of it. Fortunately, nobody is
standing around with a calculator figuring out how
accurate our predictions turn out to be. That's a good
thing -- except when we're right. Then it would be nice
to see a headline that screams:
EXTRA! EXTRA! WRITER NAILS PRESEASON PICK!
With that in mind, sometimes it's fun to go back and see what I wrote in the past. Other times, it's more like torture. I thought I might take a glance back one year ago and see how some of the things I said panned out.
