Indianapolis Colts: The contract extension for QB Peyton Manning has yet to be worked out, but that didn't stop the team from signing other players. DT Josh Williams signed a six-year contract that kept him from becoming an unrestricted free agent Wednesday. No financial details were disclosed.
New England Patriots: DE Bobby Hamilton, 32, said Monday he will test the free agent market after failing to come to terms with the club on a contract extension. "I know money isn't everything, but at some point you feel like you've got to get paid for what you've done for the team,'' Hamilton told the Boston Herald. Hamilton is one of 20 pending free agents on the Pats. Hamilton has started 68-of-70 games for the Pats since Belichick took over (including playoffs). In 2000, his 79 tackles were tops among NFL defensive linemen.
