Denver Broncos: The Broncos apparently aren't having any problems coming to terms with CB Champ Bailey, which is something the Redskins couldn't boast. According to The Washington Post, Bailey has agreed to a six-year deal totaling more than $50 million, including a signing bonus of almost $18 million. Bailey will average about $8 million annually during his first three years. That amount is significantly higher than the nine-year, $55 million the Redskins offered him originally, which included a $14.75 million tiered bonus.

Dallas Cowboys: QB Drew Henson is scheduled to work out for the Cowboys today, according to the Dallas Morning News. Houston Texans GM Charlie Casserly wants a conditional third-round pick in 2005 for Henson, which could improve to a first-round pick based on his performance. That isn't likely to sit well with owner Jerry Jones, who has insisted he doesn't want to trade any of the five picks he has remaining in the 2004 draft. Henson is also expected to visit Cleveland and Buffalo.

New England Patriots: DT Ted Washington will not be a free agent after all. The Patriots are expected to sign Washington to a contract extension that will keep him with the Super Bowl champions, according to the Boston Herald. Terms of the deal were not available, but Washington and his agent, Angelo Wright, have said the 14-year veteran would not settle for anything less than a multi-year deal and a multi-million dollar signing bonus. Washington will turn 36 in April and he's suffered a broken leg in the same place in each of the last two years, but the Pats felt they couldn't afford to lose their 375-pound nose tackle.
