Detroit Tigers: "Will you still love me in September?" Tigers fans are hopped up to see Pudge Rodriguez in the uniform of their team. About 60 of them mobbed his car when he reported to Tiger Town in Lakeland, Florida yesterday. Drew Sharp of the Detroit Free Press writes that Pudge seems at home with the adulation. If not, why would he have chosen to pull up in a black Bentley?

New York Yankees: Kevin Brown happy? Apparently it is so. Michael Morrissey of the New York Post reports that Brown -- who has earned a reputation as being one of the most intense men in the major leagues -- arrived at his first Yankee spring training in great spirits yesterday. The prospect of being supported by a lineup that includes Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield and, now, Alex Rodriguez certainly has a lot to do with that. Of the depth of the talent on the team, he told Morrissey: "It's hard to imagine. I guess it's kind of hard to fathom. More than anything, what I'm excited about is being in a situation again [where] most of the people here are used to winning."
